Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart. If I can't have Robin Williams, I'll take this guy! Wow!
Showstopping "Friend Like Me"
Handsome Aladdin and beautiful (but bambi-like) Jasmine.
Terrific show in the beautiful New Amsterdam theatre:
So beautiful.
I sang along with most of the songs and truly enjoyed the songs written for the live performance. It was a great night...danced all the way back to the hotel.
Then today (Saturday) we headed to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. What a giant, overwhelming place...and we've been to the Smith, the British Museum, the Louvre, and the Claude Armstrong County museums. Yeah, we saw some more good shit today...
Renoir
Van Gogh
Surrat - We've seen the full size one at the Chicago Museum of Art
One of Monet's many Water Lilies
Toulouse Lautrec
an Edward Degas sculpture
Augustus Saint-Gaudens' Standing Lincoln
Fraser's The End of the Trail
Remington's Bronco Buster
Tiffany Window - Autumn Landscape
A roman floor mosaic from god knows when
Joe and I with Sphinxy outside the Temple of Dendur
Big fucking, old temple gate...right in the middle of the museum. And Egypt just gave it to us.
Washington Crossing the Delaware
More Monet Water Lilies
Van Gogh's Cyprus
And the man, himself.
So many beautiful things. So. Many.
After our visit to the Met, we headed to the Empire State Building. But since both of us have been to the top, we instead, headed to the basement...and Heartland Brewing. Lots of beer and some cheese fries. Just what the doctor ordered. Then Joe got this shot before we jumped in a cab to go back to the hotel.
Tomorrow...brunch in Brooklyn!

You've been to the Claude Armstrong County Museum? WOW!
ReplyDeleteI know, right?!! Not only have I been there, my great uncle started the place. It's a pretty sweet museum...if you like going to Claude. ;-)
