While I can't imagine being able to post about anything in 10 minutes, that won't keep me from chronicling what I expect to be a totally wonderful vacation in Italy. This time we're heading to northern Italy. We fly into Milan and, after a few days, take the train to Bologna - a gastronomic orgasm of parmigiano-reggiano, prosciutto, pesto, truffles, and wine. Next we'll waddle over to Venice for a gondola ride and some Murano glass before finishing the tour in Como with a visit to Villa Balbianello.
But before Joe and I start butchering the Italian language, we'll spend four days in New York City. That means a trip to the Mets store, a Broadway play (Aladdin), a brewery or two, the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island (we can get our National Park Passport stamped), the 9/11 memorial, and a visit to the MOMA. Oh, and some cheesecake and a something from Katz's deli.
This is your last chance this year to travel with us. But don't worry, we already have an idea for a trip next spring!
